Virtual Trivia Nights
While the Paramount eagerly awaits the day when it can safely reopen its doors for live in-person events, we are hosting evenings of trivia over Zoom where players can compete in real time with each other and win prizes!
Trivia Night Rundown
Beginning at 7pm ET, teams and individuals will compete in 3 rounds of live trivia. The event will last about 2 hours with an intermission.
Round 1 – weekly theme, spoken multiple choice questions
Round 2 – music listening, short answer (ex. name that tune)
Round 3 – picture round, short answer (ex. identify the celebrity baby photo)
Teams submit answers via Google Forms (Gmail account is required). Links will be provided in the live chat before each round starts.
Points are accumulated and prizes are awarded to 1st and 2nd place winners, plus an honorable mention for Best Team Name.
We welcome team participation, even if you live apart! In order to open this game up to as many people as possible, we would like to limit Zoom logins to 1 per household.
If you have teammates joining from a distance, each household should RSVP so that we can keep track of how many links are being sent out. Set up a group chat among you and your teammates privately so you all can have input without answers being intercepted by other players.
Good luck to you!
As with any trivia, this is a game of knowledge, not resources. Sure, we can all google the answers or look them up in our personal record collections, but that’s considered cheating. We have no way of regulating people’s use of internet or external resources during this game, so we respectfully ask that you play fairly and simply do your best.
This event will be held over Zoom. Participants will be muted during each round. It is recommended that teams tune in using a desktop or laptop computer rather than a phone to make it easier to simultaneously fill in the answer sheet.
Participants must have a Gmail account in order to access the answer sheets which are set up in Google Forms. Each team submits one form per round, even if they are playing remotely from the rest of their team.
Whether playing as a team or solo, come up with a unique team name and write it down. You could win the honorable mention for Best Team Name of the evening!
See you [virtually] at Trivia Night!
