First River Festival- Day 1
October 09, 2021 at 5:00 PM
Big indie bands, small city setting. First River Festival comes to the Paramount Hudson Valley Theater on October 9-10, 2021. It brings together indie bands like the region’s never seen.
First River features established indie road dogs alongside rising stars. Sub-genres range from indie rock to alt folk, to alt R&B to a dash of indie pop electronica. Headliners include Parquet Courts on Saturday and Waxahatchee on Sunday. Guided by Voices closes Saturday’s festivities. Unlike most festivals, all three headlining bands have 90-minute sets to give audiences more of what they want.
Saturday’s lineup kicks off with Brooklyn’s indie electronica band Small Black. Chicago alt rock trio DEHD takes the stage next. After DEHD, Parquet Courts brings their distinctive blend of indie rock/post-punk raucousness. Guided by Voices closes the night with their special brand of live music merriment, playing all your favorites and probably some you’ve never heard before.
One-day passes range from $65-$95. Go to firstriverfestival.com for more info. Buy your tickets early to reserve the best seats!
We are carefully following the changing situation around Covid-19. As of now and at the time of the festival, we will follow all Westchester County, New York State and CDC mandates and recommendations, and update ticketholders accordingly.
