Zeppelin Complete, one of the most accurate Led Zeppelin tribute groups, performed some of their greatest hits in front of a 500-plus crowd at the Paramount on Friday, May 18 in Peekskill, NY.
The band performed how any Zeppelin fan would expect: an aggressive stage and vocal presence, electric and acoustic harmonies, and solos that made the audience roar.
The six-piece ensemble, the brainchild of the original tribute band, Hammer of the Gods, belted out perfect renditions of Led Zeppelin’s most popular songs.
“The performance was great, really true to the original Zeppelin albums,” Patron Max said. “Lots of great hits.”
Zeppelin Complete—as well as the actual Led Zeppelin band—their vocals overpowered the entire theater and that combined with the gentle acoustics and strong electric riffs, Zeppelin Complete was able to bring many of the classics like “Dazed and Confused” and “Heartbreaker” to life.
And of course, their take on “Stairway to Heaven” brought the house down and had many patrons like Westchester native Paul who raved about their incredible authenticity: “Wow, that performance of ‘Stairway,’ they really got it right. It was really true to the original, they were great.”
The audience’s enthusiasm throughout the night and after the show made it clear that Zeppelin Complete was a fan favorite in terms of Led Zeppelin tributes.
“It was an excellent show,” Peekskill Patron Lauree said. “My hearing is totally shot, and that’s the way it should be for a Zeppelin show.”
